Voters shouldn't be able to influence private landowning anyways since it violates private property rights. The whole point of owning land is so you can decide what to do with the land. If you want to decide what to do with someone's private property then work a deal with them instead.
- syshum 5y agoIncreasingly it is apparent that the US is going to have to learn how bad socialism is in a first hand manner, increasingly few people alive in the US fled the horror of past attempts at socialism and our "education" system love to white wash those past attempts as "not real socialism™" thus its rise in modern politics as being considered a viable economic path.
- xyzzyx 5y agoOf course government can decide private property law. Slaves used to be private property. And you can't do whatever you want once you own a piece of land, see environmental laws etc.
