What I was trying to convey is more "Regardless of what's going on outside you, you can choose how to respond. And as of recently, I'm choosing more positive reactions, instead of cynical and self-defeating." stoicism, as opposed to raw control issues. I'm trying to break that feedback loop, and be a source of more positivity, knowing that there's a sea of chaos out there.
