It'll be interesting to see what a "big" apple silicon chip looks like. Does it still have efficiency cores? Will there be two tiers of system memory?

- lasagnaphil 5y agoThe source says that the new chip for the high-end Macbook Pro would have 8 performance cores and 2 efficiency ones. It's a bit surprising that they'll reduce the efficiency core count to half (although this might get offsetted by the single-core advancements in the new chip)
- valuearb 5y agoMacBook Pro versions will have eight performance cores and two efficacy cores. Mac Pros will have either 16 performance/4 efficiency, or 32 performance/8 efficiency.
