This while Shell (and similar) do not expect hydrogen to be produced via green methods for 15+ years. They push the EU to "subsidize" hydrogen (and other things), to basically get loads of money from people in an indirect way. This was e.g. reported via the journalists at ftm.nl. They're probably unknown to most people here, but loads of their findings resulted in loads of issues for the government (scandals, fraud, etc).
