Can it run Windows or Linux on ARM though?
- svavs 5y agoIt looks like some folks have made it work on linux: https://corellium.com/blog/linux-m1 https://corellium.com/blog/linux-m1 For Windows support, I thought Apple said something along the lines of: "If Windows wants to add support, we are fine with it" - but I could be mistaken.
- qzw 5y agoNative Windows on M1 would be interesting. But it could potentially embarrass all of Microsoft's hardware partners as well as Microsoft itself (cough, Windows On ARM). Also the market for it would probably be measured in whole handfuls. So I don't think we should hold our breath.
