I once tried getting a plastic sack of hydrogen to ignite -- it was basically impossible. Since the gas was not pressurized there was nothing to force the mixing with outside air, and whenever I managed to burn a hole in the bag, it would just burn slowly until it melted shut.
In the end I folded the bag around a military-grade flashbang (which has magnesium). That worked.

Those fed directly into a running generator unit. Upon completion, the driver was hesitant to sign off and leave. " Your trailer mounted bank was not pressurized upon the start of delivery, your generator might contain explosive amounts of oxygen within it, please shut down Unit #2 at once". Me Just a moment. [ runs down to the basement where the alarm panel is located. Checks the meter, 99 percent Hydrogen [ non explosive ] and the generator fully pressurized. ] Me Hand me your cellphone Me " Im sorry, I just checked the meter and the unit is safely pressurized. No need to even notify the control room and its safe for your driver to sign off and leave" .... the dispatcher assented, driver went on his way, thousands and thousands of dollars saved all around. ....................
