Why not require both Google and the software creators to sign the app?
- detaro 5y agoGoogle wants to assemble packages of the software optimized for the specific device, and presumably doesn't want to wait until all devices are updated to some future version of Android that understands a format that allows still verifying the creators signature on modified packages. (or wants to do modifications that go beyond picking parts of a pre-signed set)
