I'm surprised the first level of support driver isn't remote. You could have a team of people sitting in HQ in a VR enviroment to take over more basic problems like this and there would be little delay. Then physical support for more challenging times. A system like this could also be super handy for delivery type companies where the autopilot drives to the destination and the virtual driver takes over for the loading dock/driveway etc where human problem solving might help for the first few times a location is encountered.
