I felt more than a little schadenfreude when I flatly turned down an offer based on this alone, after they'd spent lots of time and energy interviewing me and sweetening the offer trying to win me over. Hopefully it makes them think twice about the insanity their lawyers are trying to get away with. Of course if virtually every company is going to try and pull this, I'm going to need to strategize a little more so I can find a job I actually want to accept.
