Is Audiophile's Ear Different?
- Hackobombo 5y agoHow normal ear works is quite obvious. Is the audiophile different? What do you think?
- CuroJimenes 5y agoI think it is a myth. It just about how you train your ears. If you like music and better sound quality, you become an audiophile. This is all the secret behind it.
- smackeyacky 5y agoThe audiophile wallet is certainly different. From green pens on the edge of CDs to audiophile power cables, audiophile ethernet hubs and directional ethernet cables worth $10,000. The whole range of woo-woo explanations of why something that can't be measured with instruments far more sensitive than the human ear should be purchased and carefully installed in your curated gear rack is like a mass hysteria. Add to that the stubborn insistence that they do have special ears and just because you can't hear any difference doesn't mean it isn't different and that you are somehow inferior, all the while dismissing the science that actually makes audio reproduction work in the first place. Anti-vaxxers, conspiracy theorists and audiophiles all seem to share the same affliction.
