Steven Donziger's battle with Chevron continues
- hardwaresofton 5y agoIf you wanted to know what it looks like to have the resources of a powerful multinational corporation aimed at you -- Steven Donzinger has been under house arrest for over 580 days awaiting this very misdemeanor trial. Chevron lost their court case against the indigineous peoples and was fined ~10B, and they haven't paid yet. Even more crazy because this guy is a lawyer -- getting absolutely railed by the system you're a card-carrying member just adds a certain... acidity to his story.
