Consider a good faith interpretation in which I don't think anyone needs to good home because I didn't say anything like that. Assuming you're a liberal American, how do you feel about conservative media saying the country needs to be protected from anti-american sentiment in europe for trump being an idiot some time ago? Is it possible you thought "Actually I dislike trump too, he's not my president, and I shouldn't be held accountable for him?" Do you accept generalizations about Americans using subsets that you find abhorrent? Have you never said "there's large differences between the red and blue states, it's not all like that"?
