That reminds me of a science fiction novel (Azimov?), which starts with the main character driving a car full of annoying distracting ads, and the richest companies made ads that were just silence.
- anigbrowl 5y agoYup. Regarding the silent ads, State Farm (an insurance firm) literally does that now. They have a genial looking spokesperson and run mildly comedic soft-sell adverts, then follow up a few months later with a sequel that has no dialog at all but gently reminds viewers of the midly comedic campaign. It's brilliant psychology.
