I'm interested in what the behavior of an airtag is if it is power cycled. It has a user-replaceable battery, which means that it would be fairly trivial to wire it to a brake light or some other intermittent power source, and then potentially bypass some of the timers and other aspects. If you disable the sounder on it, and hide it in a car, I don't think you could ever find it, even if you know it's there.
