Darwin isn't that special; I used to be able to run it in qemu easily enough (straight from a disk image of an iMac, although that was a long time ago), and if you want easy-to-use https://github.com/sickcodes/Docker-OSX https://github.com/sickcodes/Docker-OSX looks unbeatable (I say, having never tried it:]).
