- chrispeel 5y ago* Bitcoin is digital gold. Kinda interesting, but not enough to build a modern civilization on. * Ethereum is digital oil. Once the switch to proof-of-stake occurs, it will be a bit better foundation for some civilization, though it still has problems [1]. * One thing that Balaji does not address is that all current cryptocurrencies (or crypto-commodities if you prefer) act to increase economic inequality.
