So that was from a year and a half ago I wish the linked article publish date showed up on HN. The idea that a carbon tax is ineffective -- possibly because it has to be slow/gradual?? -- just seems nonsensical. People are threatening to move to different states constantly when politicians want to institute a 5-cent plastic bag tax. Taxes work. A carbon tax is prob the only realistic way to not mass suicide. Also the part about the 'we want a mostly GOP solution'. Is that because he's a GOP? Or what does that even mean? I do appreciate the urgency message though.
