“Minimize the integral of thrust probably would do ok as a proxy for “minimize the amount of fuel required”
- lamontcg 5y agoUsually it is "minimize the integral of the thrust acceleration" (T/m). Other metrics are to maximize the final mass, or to minimize the final time.
