I don't use Reddit so I don't know what you are referring to but I can guess. A system in Argentina can be better than a system in the US while also having worse politics in Argentina than in the US. The system in use isn't the only thing causing politics to be the way they are. The system in Argentina does look better to me while the political situation does not.
