- eyelidlessness 5y agoNot to get too meta, but this guideline has repeatedly led to me significantly misunderstanding the nature of a post, and either opening things that seemed interesting but weren’t, or skipping things that seemed uninteresting but quite caught my attention elsewhere with the title intact. It’s also worth noting that in practice these title croppings quite often run counter to one of the examples, cropping off a leading “How” which can significantly change the meaning of a title.
