Honestly, most Node/Express tutorials are 1:1 copies(try googling sometimes). Not Node/Express specific though, majority tutorials are material to signal author's knowledge towards potential gigs/jobs, not to share knowledge. Which is why a hello-world in Reactjs tutorial needs to setup Redux, or a java tutorial brings in SpringBoot etc.. [Disclaimer: my own experience, ymmv.]
