I'm at research lab. We've had a lot of good luck hiring candidates from local Universities (Masters level hires, typically 1-4 years of work experience post undergrad). We have a high bar and I'm pretty satisfied. We have lost some candidates to big name places (recently some lost candidates made us scratch our heads .. maybe some big names are hiring so fast, they are opening up the filter).
