How the third world war was narrowly averted
- simonblack 5y agoThe US was screaming blue murder in 1962 about Soviet weapons and troops just 90 miles from the US. And today, the US is puzzled why Russia is screaming blue murder about NATO weapons and troops right on the Russian border. If the US and the Soviets were minutes away from nuclear destruction in 1962, they're just as close to nuclear destruction in 2021. Closer in fact, because in 1962 there was mutual respect for the other. No such thing today.
