This is really cool. I like the random background example or the ripple effect example in the video tutorial. I bet someone will compose a library of effects leveraging Houdini that will allow UI developers to greatly enhance their UI. Things that we could only really do in Flash, like cool animations with transitions could become even more possible and easier to build with Houdini. The table rounding is a really cool idea. I could see us combining a bunch of concepts to build really fast and performant designs that are cutting edge.
