  I'm sad for you too. In the past, with cracked plastic enclosures, I've had some successes (with lots of failures) fabricating new 2-piece enclosures from fibreglass (not expensive at all). If you have a lazy Saturday coming up, it might not be a bad idea to try it (look at some of the youtube fibreglassing tutorials).

      Please do. While my experience with glassing new enclosures is spotty at best, one or two of them came out very professional looking. It would be great if you can show that glassing is a viable way to restoring old stuff while keeping the same period look.
