Amazon collects sales tax on behalf of merchants who do have a physical presence in the state.
- kposehn 15y agoSort of. Amazon must collect sales tax for transactions where they sell a physical product to a customer located in states where they have "nexus" (a physical presence). These bills extend nexus to include affiliates.
