From what I have read, the antibodies are usually the least robust part of the response system.
The real immunity comes from the T cells which will create new antibodies when needed, and may adjust those to variations in the strain.
- koheripbal 5y agoThey are they boots on the ground of the immune system. They just don't stick around more than a few months after infection.
