A Hacking Group Did Apple Repair Professionals an Accidental Favor
- ksec 5y agoThe most important bit, now that everything is soldered on, your Data is now tied to your Devices. There is no way to get it back. And generally speaking Apple dont fix the their machine anymore. They only offer to swap of new logic-broad. Which is why every single fix is crazy expensive. I can understand why having non-removable memory in the name of thinness, structure integrity and some other reason such as profit margin. But having user Data as hostage, and Apple is increasingly doing do across all of their product line are user hostile. If they even offer a services to have those Data back with a small service charge I would have given them a pass. Except they dont. They want you to buy a new device.
