I've had great pair programming sessions in the past. But it was always occasional, and short. Sometimes longer or more often if it's someone I really like to work with, but there have been only a handful in about 20 years of career. I think that the biggest mistake about pair programming is about forcing it, especially when do it all day. I could never do that!
