96% of US users opt out of app tracking in iOS 14.5, analytics find
- thedrbrian 5y agoI wonder how many of that 4% are like me and only turned on the requests to see who/what apps want to track across apps.
- Pet_Ant 5y agoI'm betting many are testers who have to test the software that does tracking. I cannot imagine the overlap between people savvy enough to do it and would want to being anywhere near 4% of total iPhone users. Testers also seems high but I could imagine companies have a large number of them for compatibility across versions etc.
- MengerSponge 5y agoMaybe I don't understand modern app development, but there's no way that 4% of iOS users are app testers, right? Roughly 1 out of every 25 iOS users is a tester?
- Pet_Ant 5y agoI can imagine that there are places with ever version of the iPhone at every patch level and that the still count as "users" maybe?
