I became a Dad at 24 and enjoy the fact at 49 my two children are now adults. Every stage of parenthood is special. One of the best stages is your son/daughter taking you out to dinner. It's not about the money. It's about enjoying the company of someone you love in the knowledge you are more than their provider. I'm 50 soon and material things are becoming less important. I"d recommend everyone invest in family. My own upbringing was a bit messed up. So I have seen both sides of the fence.
