It seems that MS has been investing quite a bit in its native/c++ toolchain over the past 2-3 years. Judging by what I've seen at the office, it wasn't in a very good state (very slow to build/link in particular, and very slow debug binaries ) .
Is this new, or is it just that they publicize it better? (I'm not very familiar with the windows dev ecosystem).
In any case, it's good that they improve it.
