96% of US users opt out of app tracking in iOS 14.5, analytics find
- amcoastal 5y agoHow many times is this going to make the front page. This is the 3rd time I've seen this in the last two days. Does HN need me to develop a DL model to stop all these useless duplicates?? :)
- rsj_hn 5y agoThis headline is particularly egregious as the whole point is that it is opt-in, not opt-out, so the headline should read that 96% of users did nothing, which is a lot less newsworthy but certainly more accurate.

- flowerlad 5y agoHow do I get this prompt if the app is already installed? Do I have to re-install?
- timothevs 5y agoDoes it make Facebook’s app safe to use on iOS? Genuinely curious.
- ASalazarMX 5y agoBetter headline: 96% of US users didn't opt in to app tracking in iOS 14.5, analytics find. It comes off by default.
