    If you don't want to use Amazon...then just stop using Amazon. No browser extension required.

      Odd you're getting downvotes for this. As if to say people have so little self-control that they absolutely can't boycott Amazon without involiving a technical solution.

        The parent said "that helps people lessen their support of Amazon". Nobody said anything about boycotting Amazon. One can still shop at Amazon while appreciating a reminder to shop locally from time to time. Maybe they're going into town the next day and can pick up that item locally instead. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.
