Ask HN: Where can I find a community of bootstrapped founders?
I've stumbled across a few Discord/Slack servers and browsed them a bit, but most of the ones I've found are just full of people that don't actually run a business (but want to). Not really what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a community of like-minded business owners to chat with, talk about challenges/growth, and maybe where I can find mentors. It doesn't strictly have to be bootstrapped founders.

- ezekg 6y agoI'm a big fan of lobste.rs. This looks cool, but it's not really active. I'm more looking for a Slack/Discord/Keybase where communication is a bit more personal and less formal. Thanks for sharing, regardless.
- avipars 6y agoIndiehackers maybe... they got bought out by stripe.
- ezekg 5y agoI used to love that site, but I'm not a fan of Indie Hackers anymore. I rarely see valuable discussions there, much less from people who are running profitable businesses. It's kind of turned into Product Hunt 2.0 -- just a bunch of "makers" making things for other makers. Actual post engagement is also super low compared to the number of posts.
