But a vast majority of those same users are still replying "no" to tracking on the dialog when explicitly asked.

- throwaway744678 5y agoI am pretty sure most people don't understand the implications of clicking yes or no, but the wording of the popup is scary enough to push the majority towards refusing. EDIT: misread your comment; I actually agree with you that, when asked, most people don't want to be tracked. Even if they don't consider it really harmful to them, it brings them no tangible benefits.
