A review that makes the author sound like an idiot still contributes to an item's star rating, and that's all a lot of people look at.
- emodendroket 6y agoPerhaps but if you’re paying you probably want it to be credible (the article describes vendors coaching people on what kind of reviews to write). I find it pretty plausible that people writing “bought it as a gift, haven’t gotten it yet!” kind of reviews are probably genuine.
