I like f.lux too. My monitor is 100% sRGB, so the settings I chose in f.lux are Daytime: Daylight, Sunset: 4000K, Bedtime: 3000K. I have it disabled for fullscreen media players. What I look for is warm, but not so warm that colours get wildly distorted. The lighting one uses in the room also needs to be complementary with the f.lux settings.
