I think it's generally easy to point the finger at others while ignoring our own short comings. I feel the same way about the USA pointing the finger at other countries human rights violations while simultaneously struggling to come to terms with our own treatment of minorities and indigenous people in the past. Maybe it's a mix of hypocrisy and political gain. I just hope there comes a time where we can all do better.
