I applaud the initiative. Getting future motherboards in the same form factor would definitely be a novelty in the laptop market, AFAIK. I wish I could just buy an upgraded motherboard for my 13-year n130, for instance. The next step would be to adopt the EOMA68 form-factor, but that laptop is a more progressive approach. Have you tried to get closer to fairphone?
