How can we un-polarize science of we cannot discuss it?

  Here it is, being discussed. Therefore, we can discuss it. Can we do so without name-calling? That seems to be a good place to start.

    Imagine trying to discuss the US's stem cells laws/prohibitions in the early 2000s without being able to "point fingers at" Bush, the far right, or religion.

      Been there, done that, didn't buy the t-shirt. Calling one's opponent an "extremist" was insultingly reductive then, just as it is now.
