- rectang 5y agoI can see why you might be skeptical about my my claim that the argument that biological variance leads to male dominance is "on the surface, 'reasonable'". After all, if you were to voice that argument in a room full of women instead of a room full of men, it would likely be considered risible. It would also probably make many in the group uncomfortable and resentful. If you have a mixed gender group, you're still going to instill discomfort and resentment in many of the women present — but voicing opposition will be risky and painful. So many will just quietly disappear — leading over time to a disproportionately male discussion group.
