The problem with this is that only wealthy people with trust funds will work in many entertainment or media fields. That's already kind of what's happening. Pay is absolute dogshit for journalists, many low level entertainment industry gigs, so it's overwhelmingly staffed by trust fund kids who have their parents subsidize the lifestyle.
