Considering that it was mostly overturned in Brandenburg v. Ohio, SCOTUS agreed that it was unconstitutional and overreaching.
They held that the government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless that speech is "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action".
But yes overall I say their first decision of imprisoning people for speaking out against the draft was unconstitutional, socialist or not.
