I don't know if it's just me but I can't stop thinking about the day Facebook & Co will get bored with selling those stupid ads and will use all their powerful datasets to do more dangerous, scary things.
Will then everybody think "Oh, I really didn't see this coming..."?
- SyzygistSix 5y agoOr someone else will do something with their data.
- not2b 5y agoOr perhaps they'll set their algorithms free to figure out how to better monetize all the info Facebook has on people, and the machines will figure out that blackmail is a possibility: maybe FB could sell ads that would let you pay not to have certain information shared.
