Currently reading "The Mosquito: A Human History of Our Deadliest Predator" By Timothy Winegard, and in it he suggests that the mosquito was introduced by Columbus and is not native to the Americas. If this is true (I dunno if it is), I wonder if it changes the opinion of anyone arguing against this because of the "tampering with nature" angle.
