I remember reading about this when Zika was new and my wife was pregnant. I’m excited about it and hope the science of it proves out with proper due diligence. Social distancing and use of masks certainly won’t aid with mosquito spread diseases. Furthermore, widespread use of pesticides is devastating to desirable insects, particularly bees. Having a tool to control the mosquito population that doesn’t directly impact other insects would certainly be a win in my book.
