I’ve worked harder established companies than I ever did at startups. Being a parent is hard no matter where you work. Those who talk about balancing their career with their desire for children might as well dream about winning the lottery. All of your high minded ideals will be directly confronted by a screaming baby who can’t clearly express their needs for another 6-12 years. I don’t think this problem is truly unique to startups.
