I wonder if they’ll release some of the code open source. It would be cool to see some of this early brain chip code.
- londons_explore 5y agoI'm not so interested in the code - unless I have a very expensive custom silicon fab, I probably can't create my own version. I would like to see them doing extensive data dumps of the data their hardware collects from the brains. That seems like an obvious thing to do, since the likely outcome is researchers will find new ways to analyze and use the data. Obviously with human subjects there could be severe privacy implications (you might be literally publishing your inner thoughts, even though nobody knows how to analyze them yet). But for animals this should be fine.
