- throwawaysea 5y agoDoes the possibility of other causes (like air pollution) also mean that some portion of lung cancer incidents are misattributed to smoking, overstating its dangers by some amount?
- hammock 5y agoSmoking increases your risk of cancer from air pollution, so it's not so simple
- hammock 5y agoRadon is the second leading cause of lung cancer
- hammock 5y agoAir pollution was a huge issue when I was growing up as a kid, the #1 environmental cause. At some point people stopped talking about it and focused mostly on global warming.

- calibas 5y agoI have an air quality monitoring device and I live in a place with clean air, so I just open a window. A PM2.5 of 2.318 (ug/m3) inside my room at the moment.
- gher-shyu3i 5y agoIt's not hard to build a DIY air filter with a box fan. Lots of videos on youtube.
- agumonkey 5y agoBut that just removes the problem into making a fpp / hepa filter
